Graybar’s Cape Electrical Acquires Power Supply in TN

Chattanooga-based Power Supply Company expands Cape's reach and service capabilities in Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama.

Electrical supply distributor Cape Electrical Supply — a wholly owned subsidiary of Graybar — acquired Power Supply Company.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Chattanooga, TN-based Power Supply Company — an electric utility distributor — has served customers in Tennessee, parts of Georgia and Alabama since 1999.Power Supply Company Logo

“This acquisition broadens our reach, elevates our service capabilities and creates new growth opportunities for both organizations,” Cape Electrical Supply President Bryant Summers said in a Sept. 4 news release. “We look forward to combining our strengths to serve our customers and achieve long-term success together.”

Founded in 1953, Cape Electrical Supply serves customers in the utility, commercial, construction, residential, voice and industrial markets. The company operates sites in Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas and Alabama.

Graybar was No. 4 on MDM’s Top Distributors List for Electrical/Data/Security and No. 20 for Industrial Supplies.
