Home automation technologies manufacturer and distributor Resideo Technologies has placed a minority investment in XTEN-AV LLC (Union City, CA), a provider of professional audio-visual design and proposal software.
Resideo — the parent company of ADI Global Distribution (No. 7 on MDM’s 2023 Top Electrical Distributors List) — said the investment will help further accelerate XTEN-AV’s product development.
XTEN-AV provides a collaborative software platform for integrators to conceptualize designs and streamline proposal processes. Additionally, a Jan. 24 news release stated, XTEN-AV helps maximize efficiency, benefiting integrators, designers and end-users alike.
Resideo, meanwhile, makes and develops technology-driven products that provide critical comfort, energy management and safety and security solutions. Resideo is also a global distributor of security, life safety, AV and low-voltage products through its ADI Global Distribution unit.
“We continue to see Pro AV as a growth category, and we’re investing in technology to help drive the industry forward,” said Stu Tisdale, ADI’s Senior Vice President and Chief Experience Officer. “We recognize the value XTEN-AV’s platform delivers, and we’re excited to support them to advance their software platform and help deliver greater impact to customers.”
The release stated that XTEN-AV’s cloud-based solution integrates innovative design and drawing tools with a proposal software alongside a device- and personnel-agnostic approach that ensures critical project data is readily accessible. XTEN-AV holds a utility patent for its drawings automation technology, reinforcing its position in the Pro AV software landscape.
“We are excited about the support from Resideo and ADI, as it enables us to reach a broader audience globally,” said Vibhav Singh and Sahil Dhingra, co-Founders of XTEN-AV LLC. “This strategic investment not only strengthens our position in the market but also signifies a shared vision of advancing the Pro AV industry through innovation and efficiency.”
